Outreach Ministries
“Egaa dhaqaa, ... saba hundumaa bartoota koo godhaa!” (Mat. 28:19)
North America Outreach
By God’s grace, our members continue to faithfully share the Good News of the Gospel across North America.
- Several members have personally reached out to unbelievers, and we rejoice that some individuals have come to faith in Christ.
- Modern media remains a powerful evangelism tool. Through social media, internet platforms, and digital broadcasting, our Sunday online services have reached many people both within the United States and globally.
- Our Media Team plays a vital role in expanding our ministry reach and connecting with a wider audience.
- We continue to serve the Rochester Fellowship through both in-person and online ministry, including preaching, prayer, and baptismal services, with the participation of several ministers.
- Pastor Fikru ministered in various Oromo churches across the United States and Europe, providing teaching and encouragement on important topics such as:
- Immigrant family dynamics
- Healthy family relationships
- Social media and children
- Bridging the generational gap
- Effective family communication
- Christian identity
- Navigating challenging times
- God’s divine protection

Evangelism & Outreach
Lives Reached

Evangelism Approaches
To effectively engage diverse communities, the ministry used multiple outreach methods:
- One-to-one evangelism
- Home visitations
- Small group gatherings
- Film showings
- Large-scale outreach events
This multi-layered approach allowed the Gospel to reach people in both personal and community settings.

These new believers are now being integrated into their local churches for continued spiritual growth.
Church Planting & New Mission Areas
In 2025, the ministry expanded into new locations:
- New ministry sites were established in Badanota and Marsabit Town, laying groundwork for future church planting.
Worship Environment Improvements
- A rental worship space was secured for the Moyale congregation.
- This addressed previous challenges caused by:
- Flooding during rainy seasons
- Strong winds
- Safety concerns with temporary shelters
- Electricity and essential utilities were installed, creating a safer and more stable worship environment.
Financial Overview
Mission expenditures in 2025 increased compared to the previous year. We thank God for the sacrificial giving of supporting church members in Nairobi, whose partnership remains vital for sustaining the mission.
Ongoing Prayer Needs
Please continue to pray for the mission, especially regarding:
- Religious Opposition
- Resistance encountered during evangelism activities
- Limited openness among some communities to hear the Gospel
- Logistical & Mobility Needs
- Limited transportation for ministry work
- High travel costs that affect outreach capacity
- Challenges in conducting follow-up visits
- Financial pressures on missionary families
Additional Outreach Support
As part of our broader mission commitment, we also provided:
- Support for Great Commission Ministry (Ethiopia)
- Support — FOCUS Ministry
- Support Bethel Children House, Adama
- This center cares for abandoned children, children with autism, and those with various health needs.
- Outreach Ministry & Humanitarian Support
At Ebenezer Oromo Evangelical Church, we believe that the love of Christ must be lived out in practical ways. Our Outreach Ministry exists to bring hope, dignity, and compassionate support to those who are walking through seasons of deep loss and hardship. - We extend humanitarian financial assistance to widows who have lost not only their beloved husbands, but also the primary providers and pillars of their families. In many cases, this loss leaves families facing overwhelming emotional and economic challenges.
In addition, we assist those who are struggling under severe poverty and economic hardship. For some, daily necessities such as food, shelter, and medical care are ongoing challenges. Through the generous giving of our congregation and partners, we strive to provide relief and restore hope.
We thank God for what He has done through these outreach efforts and invite the congregation to continue praying, giving, and participating in the Great Commission.
